With federal spending no longer driving regional growing, the Washington metropolitan area is undergoing an historic realignment in order to regain its position as one of the fastest growing and high-­value added economies in the nation.

On Wednesday, July 13th, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will host an in-depth conversation, with Dr. Terry Clower, Director of George Mason University’s renowned Center for Regional Analysis and Mr. Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun County’s Department of Economic Development regarding the business and quality of life implications of our region’s pivot away from the federal marketplace towards more diverse national and international markets.

Joining Dr. Clower and Mr. Rizer will be Ms. Generra J. Peck, Vice President for Infrastructure and Economic Development at McGuireWoods Consulting LLC, who will discuss how Virginia’s new regional economic development strategy – entitled GO Virginia – will help Loudoun County and Northern Virginia attract, retain and grow that more diverse ecosystem of companies and talent.
