Join us for a fast paced workshop where you will be challenged to creatively think about your current Board of Directors. You will be challenged to then create a simple plan for improving this current Board. Various topics will include: recruiting board members, a job description, managing board meetings and motivating your volunteers. When you leave this program, you will have a plan for improving your Board of Directors that can be implemented as soon as you’re back at the office.

Kurt Aschermann has almost 40 years’ experience as a marketing and resource development professional. Now retired, he is currently working to establish a feeding and education program for those who are food insecure in his home county of Loudoun Virginia called Community Table of Loudoun.   The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of the Non-profit Academy training and certificate series in partnership with Community Foundation for Loudoun & Northern Fauquier Counties and Loudoun Cares.

Non-profit Academy attendees that complete 40 hours of Academy training over a three-year period earn a "Certified Non-profit Professionals" designation from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.
