Loudoun Nonprofit Academy | Charting a Course for Success

Success in any organization takes careful planning and solid execution. However, making the best choices to create the right plan for your non-profit can be a real challenge. Planning takes time. But that planning time can feel like it's pulling you away from doing "the work" of your organization. It can also seem like a waste of time because situations change so quickly or because you don't feel you have all the information or answers to fill in all the blanks of a strategic plan.

In this interactive session Eric Byrd, manager of the Small Business Development Center for Loudoun County, will introduce you to a new tool that helps you simplify the process of planning for your non-profit. It works regardless of the work you do or the size of your organization. It will help if you don't have all the answers and it is even easy to update over time so you stay on track. Eric will walk you through the process step by step so you leave better prepared to execute your own successful plan.

By the end you will:
• Have a solid understanding of who you really serve (it may not be who you think)
• Get clear on where your funding really comes from (or might come from)
• And identify your unique value to the communities you serve (so you can focus where you do the most good)
