GovCon: Extra! Extra! Hear All About It - Changes Coming to the GovCon Industry

 

Join us for the first in-person event of 2021 sponsored by the GovCon Committee, where we will provide an opportunity to hear directly from representatives of Congress and Virginia’s House of Delegates to learn about the latest changes, investments, and proposed policies and regulations that will impact both federal and state government contractor businesses. 

Our federal guest, Mr. Matthew Cornelius, Senior Professional Staff Member for Chairman Gary C. Peters on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC), will discuss federal regulations including the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), procurement innovations, and cybersecurity. Our state guest, Del. David Reid, represents Virginia’s 32nd District which includes much of Loudoun County, and is a member of the Appropriates Committee, House Privileges and Election Committee, and House Transportation Committee. Del. Reid’s topics will include cyber investments and policies to support veteran and SWAM owned businesses.
